About

Biomedical engineering master’s student with a focus in computational medicine

I am a bioinformatician-in-training with interests in cancer biology, precision medicine, and improving patient healthcare outcomes through data.

Educational training

I received my BSc. in Computer Engineering from Ashesi University in Ghana. My capstone project under the supervision of Prof. Siby Samuel was in designing low-cost wearable obstacle-detection technology for the visually-impaired.

Research Experience

In 2020, I had the opportunity to lead a team of students in the 2020 iGEM competition, where we created the proof of concept for the design of a living sea defense system (bio-concrete tetrapod). Our team, named The Coastbusters, won a silver medal at the iGEM Giant Jamboree and a $5.5K grant from Revive and Restore.
